I've been telling H. Bean that the tree will be disappearing until next year. This hasn't gone down so well. Finally I told him if he wanted to keep a memory of it, take a picture. Here they are.

Henry's Pal Sunday
H. Bean has been taught from very early on that he needs to be gentle and soft with animals, and his friendship with our cat Sunday has grown because of it. He loves chasing him down the hall, trying to take pictures of him. Sometimes though, Sunday will cooperate. I'm thinking that Sunday will need his own page soon, and maybe someday Muswell as well, but I wouldn't hold my breath on the latter.

Mr. Sun
"Oh Mister Sun, Sun,
Mister Golden Sun,
Please shine down on me
Oh Mister Sun, Sun,
Mister Golden Sun,
Hiding behind a tree...
These little children
Are asking you
To please come out
So we can play with you
Oh Mister Sun, Sun,
Mister Golden Sun,
Please shine down on me!"
Because of some very good friends of ours, H. Bean calls his little smiley water toy Mr. Sun. This post is dedicated to them.

Inside the Tube
Anyone who knows H. Bean knows his father has enjoyed taking everyday objects and making toys for him. Since he was an infant, H. Bean has had re-purposed cardboard toys, or shakers made from plastic bottles of pop. Today H. Bean and I cleaned out his closet and found a bag of these cardboard and plastic wonders. Later, when we looked at the camera to view his dinosaur pictures, we were surprised to see these on the camera as well. My guess is they were taken about 10 minutes before the dinosaur was, when I was making a cuppa.

Numbers on the Floor
H. Bean received numerous magnetic letters and numbers, not only from Santa Himself, but also from his family overseas. I would say about 50% of them have already made it under the fridge and stove, which just gives me motivation to find out what else is lurking under there as well. I think his favourite though are the letters that aren't out of their plastic mold. He relishes in slowly snapping them out then placing them on the dishwasher, or fridge. But mostly he enjoys sliding them off onto the floor.
